Galvanising offers corrosion protection for up to 20 years and can be
used as a finish, which is grey in colour, or the grey base coat can
additionally be spray painted or powder coated.
The two most common types of powder coating are nylon and polyester. Nylon powder coating is glossy and tough with outstanding adhesion and superb resistance to solvents and oils. Polyester powder coating is a hard, abrasion-resistant coating based on polyester resin that is cured at a high temperature, providing a superior smooth surface that is resistant to colour fade in direct sunlight.
This finish is applied in our own spray and blast facilities, where
the steelwork is blast cleaned and primed. A layer of undercoat is
followed by two finishing coats to give a superior quality finish.
Polishing is a finishing process applied to stainless steel, whose finished options include brushed, polished and mirror.
